The Daily Doodle…

To encourage student engagement and build trust in my skills as an artist amongst my students, I sketch a daily doodle on the whiteboard. This has helped foster a connection between me and the broader school community. Even those not currently taking art classes stop in to see the daily doodle and write down suggestions of their own.

Seeing art actively being made by the one teaching them built a sense of community and belonging within the classroom.
