Middle School Practicum
Wonderful Color Wheels
A lesson that explored the color wheel through exciting oil pastel patterns and watercolor paint.
Completed with students from Johanna Perrin Middle School.
Students from the 12:1:3:1 art class at Johanna Perrins completed unique and colorful color wheels during a single class session lesson.
The students fine turned their watercolor skills while learning about the interesting reaction that takes place when you layer oil pastels and paint overtop.

A lesson that explored pattern and color through cute paper collage based on the book -Ish Peter H. Reynolds.
Completed with students from Care-a-Lot Fairport.
Students from Pre-K completed this lesson in 2 sessions after being read the book -Ish by Peter H. Reynolds. Students were told to focus on creating what made them happy, rather than focusing on perfection.
The students fine tuned their motor skills and developed a healthy relationship with the artmaking process.

Attended Especially for Educators: New Appraisals at the Memorial Art Gallery. Gained insight into the inner workings of the museums staff and the measures taken when preserving artwork.
Teacher Resource Center
Collaborated with the Memorial Art Gallery to develop a lesson plan to be added into their Teacher Resource Center archives.
NYSATA 2025
Attended the New York State Art Teachers Association 2025 conference in Binghamton, NY and attended several workshops and keynotes.
