Community Outreach
To help build connections within the Rochester community and keep myself in tune with the needs of the local community I pride myself in frequent, diverse, and impactful community service participation.
RACS STEAM Night
Assisted with the set up, hosting, and breakdown of the Rochester Academy Charter High Schools S.T.E.A.M night.
Mounted and hung artwork on the walls of the schools new Performing Arts Center.
Pop-Up Art Fair
In partnership with Gantt Recreational Center I was able to assist with hosting a pop-up art fair for the children and staff who attend the facility.
We hosted several art and craft themed tabled including zine making, jewelry, an arts and crafts table, and balloon animal twisting. I ran the balloon animal table and taught attendees how to do simple twists including dogs and swords.
More complex designs were made by me for the attendees to enjoy.
Pop-Up Art Fair
In partnership with Agape Haven of Abundance I was able to assist with hosting a pop-up art fair for the children and staff who attend the facility.
At this art fair I ran the balloon animal table. Showing the kids step by step how to twist a dog or a sword, 2 foundational twists for balloon art.
If the attendees wanted more complex twists I created them for their enjoyment.
School No. 5 Family Fun Night
This winter, 2025 I helped run the Family Fun Night hosted at John Williams School No. 5 in the Rochester City School District.
This event featured face painting, paper marbling, card making, holiday slime mixing, and a variety of other arts and crafts for students and their families.
I assisted with the card making and paper marbling tables throughout the night, getting to interact with and bring art to young artistic minds.
Rochester Indie Comic Expo
Since 2022 I have had the pleasure of interacting directly with Rochester’s art scene through my volunteer work at the Rochester Indie Comics Expo run by WNY Comic Arts.
I have been given to opportunity to run the children’s craft activity, assist artists, guide guests throughout the event, and sit through a variety of informative talks given by practicing local artists.
